We have been celebrating life around here (and keeping very busy living it). Baby turned two a few weeks after her oldest brother turned 19, a month after her second brother turned 18, and her middle brother turned 16, so she was very ready to have her own birthday. A week later her dad turned 43. She can sing the entire birthday song now, and does so with glee. We have been binging on birthday cake and ice cream and leftover Easter candy.

Her favorite song, after Happy Birthday, is Raffi's "Baby Beluga." She said she wanted a beluga cake so that is what she got. |

| Some friends with four little girls joined us for dinner, so we had an instant birthday party. |
The week before LCJ's birthday, we hosted a concert by Beta Radio at our house. They are a folk duo out of Wilmington, NC, that our 18 year old discovered on Pandora a couple years ago. Instead of having concerts at coffee shops and small concert venues, they like to give sitting room concerts hosted by their fans. I was really nervous about opening our house to 30 -50 people we didn't know, but it ended up being a really fun evening. The crowd was on the smaller side, but everyone was courteous, and the musicians were phenomenal. I was sorry we didn't get more people to come. But it is awkward to invite people to your house and ask them to pay $25 to listen to a concert by musicians they don't really know anything about.
